//Artist Bio

Syndi Kahn lives in the Cape Winelands with her husband and two teenage sons. She graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town, has a background in graphic design and works as a full time artist from her studio at home.

Syndi’s paintings explore landscape through a blend of abstract and graphic forms. Inspired by photographs she takes of her surroundings, she investigates the relationship between light, shadow, shape, and space. Moving between sweeping vistas and close-up details, her work invites viewers to experience familiar environments in new ways.

The landscapes are rooted in both place and emotion. Through her paintings, she seeks to create immersive spaces that evoke reflection, connection, and a sense of journey.
